About Alex:
Over the last ten years, Alex has established herself in Buffalo & beyond as a heartfelt vocalist who uses her passion for creativity, storytelling, & authentic expression as her musical compass. Utilizing her naturally warm, soulful tone that spans multiple octaves, Alex performs an ever-growing, genre-crossing repertoire that is filled with unique and colorful depictions. Residing in Buffalo, NY, she keeps a busy schedule collaborating with composers & musicians from many backgrounds, bringing stories to life & vocally painting pictures as truthfully as she is able.
Growing up in a musically diverse home, Ms. McArthur was regularly exposed to music, harmony, & storytelling of all sorts, fascinated by it all; from classical, jazz, & prog-rock, to soul, funk, pop, & plenty of movie-musicals, many forms of musical expression aided in the formulation of her artistic voice that touches audiences in many musical capacities. She is a firm believer that the voice is an instrument, and can be utilized to tell a story in the same way as a horn or string instrument; she is unafraid to take chances.
About Bob:
Before joining the Eastman faculty in late 1997, Sneider toured for several years with two-time Grammy Award winner Chuck Mangione. Other notable performers with whom Sneider has performed, toured or recorded include: Nat Adderley, Joe Locke, Don Menza, Lou Donaldson, Joey Defrancesco, Pat Bianchi, Gary Versace, Pat Labarbara, Grant Stewart, Ken Peplowski, Gerry Niewood, Chris Potter, Roy McCurdy, Eric Alexander, David Hazeltine, Frank Strazzerri, Jon Faddis, Keeter Betts and frequent appearances with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra Pops(guitar/banjo). Sneider has performed in major festivals, concert halls and jazz clubs throughout South America, Central America, North America and Europe. Sneider is a graduate of the University of Rochester where he studied with Bill Dobbins and Ramon Ricker. Growing up in Brockton, MA, Sneiders mentor and teacher was Chet Kruley - a veteran of the Fletcher Henderson, and Nat Pierce band.
