Looooove this picture 😇- Long time friends Mary Ramsey and Joe Rozler return to PAUSA.
A full 3 years since their last appearance, Mary and Joseph make their return to the Pausa stage, playing and singing a varied program of folk, pop and light classical selections.
Mary Ramsey was born in Washington D.C. She has been playing the violin since age 5, has worked with the Erie Philharmonic, founded the Lexington String Trio. Mary has been performing in her critically acclaimed folk duo John and Mary. She continued to expand her musical horizons when she stepped up to the plate and replaced Natalie Merchant in 1995 as the lead singer and songwriter of 10,000 Maniacs. She brought the band back in the spotlight with her top 40 hit “More Than This”. In addition to writing and singing with 10,000 maniacs, she played both viola and violin, touring the world with the band, even playing for troops in Kuwait and Bahrain. Along with singing and writing, Mary has performed in various orchestras across the country, along with her recent contributions as performer and music director at the Irish classical theater.
If there ever was a “Mister Music”, Joe would qualify. From his early studio work and commercial jingles during which he wrote and performed over 100 jingles for local and national ads, highlights of Joe’s career include filling in for Hall of Famer Stan Szelest, being a forming partner of The Party Squad and performing studio keyboard work with local emerging favorites Goo Goo Dolls. Many people are surprise at his studio work and touring Europe with metal band Manowar. Other notable accomplishments include having served as vocal director for noted British actor Christopher Lee. Joe’s impact on the local, national, and global music community should not go un-noticed.
