The Love Songs of Chet Baker Featuring Vocalist Alex McArthur. 

The Jay/Sharp-tet will be performing music from the career of tragic trumpet player and singer Chet Baker. For this performance we will be focusing on music from albums such as “Chet Baker Sings”, “She Was Too Good For Me” and “My Funny Valentine”. Throughout his career Chet Baker was well known for singing love songs such as “My Funny Valentine”,  “I Fall in Love Too Easily”, and “There Will Never Be Another You.” Join the Jay/Sharp-tet for a night of love songs featuring special guest vocalist Alex McArthur. 

Alex McArthur is an active jazz, funk, & classical vocalist/musical theatre performer based in Buffalo, New York. She is currently attending the University at Buffalo completing her BFA in Music Theatre & BA in Vocal Performance. Alex has performed at many venues, festivals, & events in the Western New York area & beyond, such as Pausa Art House, Buffalo Iron Works, Larkin Square, Lewiston Jazz Festival, and the Queen City Jazz Festival. Alex has been recognized with honors and awards including the JazzBuffalo Rising Star Award of 2016 and the JazzBuffalo Jazz Female Vocalist of 2018.
