The WMY trio
David Wasik, Greg Milar and Gerry Youngman recreate the vibe of a 1960s post-bop organ trio with a modern tilt.
Their performance is powerful and swinging. You will be mesmerized by the groove as these three master musicians play their trade creating a familiar yet modern take on this classic format.
David Wasik - Internationally acclaimed drummer/percussionist grew up in Buffalo and was reared musically in the downtown NYC underground counterculture scene of the late 80s early 90s. He has performed with artists Mose Allison, Odetta and Poppa Chubby among others.
Greg Millar - has been a mainstay guitarist on the western NY scene for many years.he has performed with a diverse group of local, national and international artists including organists Charles Earland, Jack McDuff, Jimmy McGriff and Ronnie Foster - saxophonists Joe Ford, Clifford Jordan, David “Fathead” Newman and Bill Easley - trumpeter Lester Bowie - trombonist Roswell Rudd - vocalists “Big” Joe Turner and Brooke Benton.
Gerry Youngman - best known as the organist in the internationally acclaimed soul jazz trio and Nagel-Heyer recording artists Paradigm Shift. Gerry has performed in concerts and festivals all over the world. He has performed with Houston Person,Wycliffe Gordon, Marcus Printup, Joe Locke, David “Fathead” Newman, Eric Alexander, Jeremy Pelt, Jimmy Ponder, Joe Romano, Brian Carrot, Chuck Mangione, Gerry Niewood, Urbie Green, Claudio Roditti, Walt Weiskopf and many more.
